Tuscaloosa is a city in and the county seat of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama County in the west central part of the U.S. state of Alabama. Located on the Black Warrior River, it is the fifth-largest city in Alabama with an estimated population of 88,722 in 2007. Tuscaloosa is named after the Choctaw chieftain Chief Tuskaloosa (which means 'Black Warrior' in that language), who battled and was defeated by Hernando de Soto (explorer) de Soto in 1540 in the Hernando de Soto (explorer)#1540 - To the North, The battle of Mauvila of Mauvila.In recent research, 2% of people in Tuscaloosa, Alabama have needed the services of a bankruptcy tax attorney to handle bankruptcy procedures.
