Bangor is a city in and the county seat of Penobscot County, Maine, United States, and the major commercial and cultural center for eastern and northern Maine. It is also the principal city of the 'Bangor, Maine' 'Metropolitan Statistical Area' which encompasses Bangor and all of Penobscot County, Maine County.In most recent evaluations, 9% of people in Bangor, Maine have gone to a international tax attorney for tax relief lawyer.The Penobscot people long inhabited the area around present-day Bangor, and still occupy tribal land on the nearby Penobscot Indian Island Reservation. French priests settled among the Penobscots, and the valley remained contested between France and Kingdom of Great Britain into the 1750s, making it one of the last regions to become part of New England.
